Another business's record, read-only

A system can read a record that another business shares with it. The system cannot change that record, because the platform refuses the change. So the system shows no control to change the record. This is native interoperability with the owner in control: the platform, not each system, enforces who can change a record.

What you will see

  1. A record from another business is marked as that business's own record.
  2. The record has no edit, delete or status control.
  3. The record is shown as the platform stores it.

About 2 minutes. There is no sign-up. The system asks you to choose a user.

What to try

  1. Open Meadow Lane Motors' record in Brookfield Farm

    1. In Brookfield Farm, choose Margaret Ellis.
    2. Open Machinery. If you cannot see it, press More first.
    3. Open Househam AR Sprayer. Under Maintenance records, find the interim service from Meadow Lane Motors.

Result The record is marked as Meadow Lane Motors' own record. It has no edit, delete or status control. The Edit and Delete at the bottom belong to the farm's sprayer.

  2. Show its stored form

    1. On the garage's record, press Show this record as the system stores it.

Result The record is shown as the platform stores it, with the identifier of the system that made it.

What this shows about Technology DNA

  • The refusal comes from the platform, not from the farm's system. Any system that sends a change to another business's record gets a refusal.
