A local authority
Existing council files, loaded column by column
Three old council files, in real government formats with made-up records, were loaded into the housing system. For every column, the page shows how it was handled and why: an existing dictionary entry reused, a new entry added once, a decision made by a person, or the column left out.
What you will see
- Three old files are listed: hazard assessments, a repairs backlog and tenant reports.
- Each column of each file shows how it was handled, its dictionary entry and the reason.
- One row is refused by the platform, because its value is not on the field's list.
About 3 minutes. There is no sign-up. This page opens with no choice of user.
What to try
-
Load assessments file and read result
- At the top, choose the assessments file.
- Press Load the file. The file's records are already in the housing system, so no record is added a second time.
Result Each column has a label that says how it was handled, with the reason: an existing dictionary entry reused, a new entry added once, or a decision made by a person. One row is refused by the platform, because its value is not on the field's list, and the page shows that row.
These are the live systems. Other visitors can see what you record.
What this shows about Technology DNA
- The records are made up. The file formats are the real ones that councils use.
- A column becomes a dictionary entry once. A later file with the same kind of column reuses that entry.
